Week 7!

Only 33 weeks to go!  This week my arms and legs are starting to form, but now they just look like paddles.  I'm getting lungs too!  And I promise I will never ever taint them with cigarette smoke!  Last week I doubled my size and now I'm the size of a blueberry.  All that growing made Mommy tired so she took some naps.  It's pretty dark in here, and quiet, but it's pretty warm and cozy.  Mommy's pretty excited for her first appointment with the midwife.  It's in a couple of weeks and I'll get my first picture taken!

Wordless Wednesday

This is Naughty Girl on her quad.  By the time I'm big enough on ride it, she'll have a bigger one and it'll be mine!

Am I a Boy or Girl?

Today Mommy looked up whether I would be a boy or girl on the Chinese Calendar. It says I will be a girl! It was right for my sister, so we'll see in a few weeks. Mommy says she wants another girl, and Daddy says he wants a boy (but Mommy really knows he would LOVE another girl), but they will both love me either way. There's lots of old wives tales about gender prediction. Maybe we'll try some of them out over the next few weeks up until Mommy and Daddy find out. I'm not telling until then!  I'll put a list of the results in the sidebar and we'll see which ones really "work"!

To My Daddy on Father's Day

Dear Daddy,

I know we haven't met yet but you're excited to meet me... and a little nervous as well.  I'm very excited to meet you in February, and know that you will be a great Dad.  So far you've been an excellent father to both of my sisters and they love you very much as well.  I don't need a lot so I won't cost much, plus you have most of what you need from when Naughty Girl was born.  I just know we'll have lots of fun going to the dunes, and four wheeling in the 4Runner.  There are lots of kisses and hugs being saved up in here!  Love you lots!

Today is the first day of week 6!

(Photo from babycenter)

Hey guess what?  My heart is beating now!  This week I'm about the size of a lentil bean, and am starting to look more like a shrimp.  My cute little face is now forming, and I'm starting to have arms and legs.  Mommy is feeling really tired, and is glad my sister still takes two naps a day!  Nausea and heartburn are also affecting her.  Last pregnancy she didn't have any morning sickness so she's hoping it's just nausea this time!

Growing like a seed!

This week I'm growing from the size of a sesame seed to the size of a lentil.  That's a lot in one week!  It's giving my mommy a little bit of cramping since her uterus is growing with me.  She said she doesn't remember feeling it quite this much so early with my sister, but I guess they say it all happens faster with the second one.  Her body isn't resisting the stretching and pulling as the uterus grows.  I'll try to be nice to her!

Hello! And welcome to my blog...

(Picture from babycenter.com)

I'd introduce myself, but I don't have a name yet.  I've been in my mommy's womb for a couple of weeks now, she's about 5 weeks along.  This blog is about my life from the inside, and how it sometimes affects the outside world.  I have two big sisters who don't know about me yet, but I'm sure will be anxiously awaiting my arrival.  Mommy and Daddy found out about me on Saturday June 12, 2010.  It was the first month they were trying, and they weren't even "trying" yet, just letting things happen. Surprise!

I'm currently about the size of a sesame seed, and my circulatory system and heart are developing now.  I bet Mommy can't wait to hear it beating for the first time!  My neural tube is also developing, and it will become my spinal cord.  So far Mom's feeling fine, just a few hints here and there that I'm around.  My sister was very nice to her while she was in here, so we'll see how she feels with me around!
