Week 15... Sorry it's been so long!

Sorry it's been so long since my last post.  My mommy was REALLY tired for several weeks so we napped in all of her spare time.  She has a lot more energy now.  And my due date has changed since the last time we talked!  It is now February 22nd.  I'm now about 4" long and 2.5 oz.  I can move my arms and legs!  And if someone is turning the lights on or off I can tell, even though I can't open my eyes.  The midwife says I'm doing just perfect so Mommy is pretty proud.  My biggest sister Princess is excited for me to come.  She always wants to put her ear on Mommy's belly and says she can hear and feel me!  Naughty Girl still can't understand about me but I know she'll love me as much as I love her.  Oh and everyone gets to find out if I'm a boy or girl on Sept 30th!  Mommy's excited for that so she can start planning my room and such.  Princess is getting a new room so that will keep her busy until then.  I'll talk to you next week if not sooner!

Week 8 - A little late

Well I'm a little late getting to week 8, but here's my week 8 developments!  I'm about 1/2 an inch long this week, or the size of a kidney bean.  Fingers and toes are forming although they are webbed for now.  And my tail is starting to disappear!  It's still pretty dark and quiet in here though.  Thank goodness Mommy has wireless internet so I can keep in touch with the world!  We were pretty busy this weekend and I had some delicious food.  It's supposed to be pretty hot this week, in the 90's and close to 100!  At least we don't live on the East Coast.  A little air conditioning would be nice though.  I think Mommy will be floating around in the neighbors pool for a few days like I'm floating around in here.  Next Monday we have our first appointmnet with the midwife!  Mommy is excited to see the first pictures of me and find out how everything is going.  She said she would share them with you as soon as she can!

Princess Insists I'm a Boy!

Daddy told Princess about me the other day.  She was super excited!  I've been getting lots of hugs from her and she told Mommy she could already feel me moving and hear me in here.  Too bad she can't read my blog yet.  Maybe after she starts Kindergarten.  She keeps referring to me as "Brother" and keeps telling everyone she's having a Brother.  Only time will tell I guess (and an ultrasound!).  Tuesday she was helping her Grandma clean out the toy room at her house and she picked out several toys to give to me.  I can't wait to see what they are!  Naughty Girl is a little young to understand what is happening but I'm sure she'll be excited to have a playmate when I'm old enough to start moving around.

Week 7!

Only 33 weeks to go!  This week my arms and legs are starting to form, but now they just look like paddles.  I'm getting lungs too!  And I promise I will never ever taint them with cigarette smoke!  Last week I doubled my size and now I'm the size of a blueberry.  All that growing made Mommy tired so she took some naps.  It's pretty dark in here, and quiet, but it's pretty warm and cozy.  Mommy's pretty excited for her first appointment with the midwife.  It's in a couple of weeks and I'll get my first picture taken!

Am I a Boy or Girl?

Today Mommy looked up whether I would be a boy or girl on the Chinese Calendar. It says I will be a girl! It was right for my sister, so we'll see in a few weeks. Mommy says she wants another girl, and Daddy says he wants a boy (but Mommy really knows he would LOVE another girl), but they will both love me either way. There's lots of old wives tales about gender prediction. Maybe we'll try some of them out over the next few weeks up until Mommy and Daddy find out. I'm not telling until then!  I'll put a list of the results in the sidebar and we'll see which ones really "work"!
